The Quickly Written one. | Chronicles of Everything #1

Over the past 2 weeks I was home sick with a cold for 1 week, still have a cough but I felt alright so I went back to work. Still not putting a lot of strain on myself. Like instead of working on things for videos on weekends, last weekend I spent basically all of it in bed. While I don’t enjoy that, I think sometimes having to chill out is a good thing. I often put myself onto too many things at once, putting pressure on myself and I need to try to lower that for the future. This is also why I haven’t put out a video in a while.

New Ideas:

I don’t know how far this will go but for a while I have thought about starting something relating to written media. Yes visual and aural experiences are great, but text gives you just another way to express yourself. I don’t really think the world needs to hear all of my ideas but, you don’t have to read it. But I can write it and put it out there. So over a couple of days i slowly put together a website, with a blog, newsletter function and everything. My plan is to write a blog post here and send out an email at max once a week. The emails probably will be like a summary of what I think are notable things I did.

Mostly for the reasons I already wrote, but additionally so I can just collect some emails from people. If for nothing else, just to have a lifeline of people to shoot stuff at, if I got banned from something like YouTube.. like with

Twitter

or as I like to call it, Wayland. Now watch all the non Unix-like readers be confused lol.

Yes, I am still salty that Mr Musk changed the name to X. But actually I am even more annoyed that they actually just banned my account. I was, what you could describe as a “Twitter power user” as dogshit and horrible as that phrase sounds. I even had the dumbass paid subscription. I just loved it so much. I would use it many hours a day. In every aspect. I liked it because it was the right mixture of funny videos, cute things, interesting stories, and people to argue with. I was always digging into the analytics to see what tweet and response to something else did well. In the end I think I got really good at doing the…. the mass media thing of saying something that would piss a whole lot of people off, while also attracting immense praise from another big group. I always say there almost never are just two sides. But there definitely are if you play people correctly. I think in the end this is probably why I got banned.

I never actually got a significant following on there, I kind of just got to 600 followers and then hovered around there. Always gaining and losing followers. It really looked like this newest iteration of my account, with the trying to play both sides approach was starting to work. I was getting thousands of likes on many of my responses. But that only lasted about 2 or 3 weeks before I got banned.

I am also a bit enraged at their process for unban requests. You open a ticket on a specific webpage, which btw for me is broken because it thinks my account isn’t suspended. Only for them to send you an email with instructions for that specific site, which just do not line up with what the site acts like.

Other Issues

At the end of last year I treated myself to a Rodecaster Duo and a SM7B. Pretty good things in theory. But the Rodecaster Duo has made me overall I think more unhappy. Weird issues with the firmware behaving weirdly, 2 months after I bought the Rodecaster it’s powersupply shorted out and killed power to the whole room. They replaced the power supply, and just last week I noticed a new issue where it does something to it’s USB-C Port which causes my PC to not turn on, if the Rodecaster is plugged in and powered off.

Thanks for reading, the next one probably will have a different kind of vibe than this. I just quickly wrote this down in one go. My plan for future ones is, having kinda a list with points i would like to write about.
